Founded in 2018 with offices in Los Angeles and Detroit, Umbrelic Entertainment is a film finance and production company. OutPostX, a second venture was launched in 2022, provides world class post-production services and global delivery of content for studio and independent producer clients.

In 2024, Umbrelic rebooted Anchor Bay Entertainment as their distribution arm. With the aims to honor the legacy of this cherished brand, Anchor Bay is acquiring new films and remastering classic cinema for the modern market.

Our MISSION is to release quality films that entertain, inspire, and challenge audiences.
We share the passion of Anchor Bay's rich history and earlier days. Anchor Bay Entertainment is a film distribution company owned by Umbrelic Entertainment co-founders Thomas Zambeck and Brian Katz. The pair revived the brand in 2024. Anchor Bay Entertainment markets and releases new genre films, undiscovered treasures, cult classics, and remastered catalog releases.
The original Anchor Bay Entertainment (formerly Video Treasures, Starmaker Entertainment, and Starz Home Entertainment) was an American home entertainment and production company formed in Michigan 1988. The company was purchased by Starz Inc., which is a subsidiary of Lionsgate. In 2017, the original company was folded into Lionsgate Home Entertainment. Then it was gone. Until now...we brought it back!

About
OutPostX was formed in 2022 as a subsidiary of Umbrelic Entertainment by Brian Katz and Thomas Zambeck, the later of which has 15 years experience in post-production, including stints at Sony Pictures and Post Haste Digital, where he was Senior Director of Client Servicing. We specialize in delivery and mastering, with a strong focus on completion and direct dispersement of feature film and TV assets globally, across multiple platforms.
Our services include online conform, color correction, audio mixing, sound design, mastering QC, transcode, and delivery. We also offer post production supervision services and post bonds, ensuring contractual fulfillment.

Brian Kallies
Documentary Producer
Brian is a socially conscious and critically acclaimed documentary filmmaker. Beginning his career at WTTW/PBS, where he worked on the acclaimed documentary anthology series "Chicago Stories" and the highly rated feature documentaries "The New River Tour" with Geoffrey Baer and "The Seven Wonders of Chicago". Brian co-produced, shot and edited the Showtime comedy documentary, Phunny Business (2011), which received critical acclaim from The NY Times, Hollywood Reporter, The Onion, and The Guardian (UK). Legendary movie critic Roger Ebert called it, "one of the best documentaries of the year". Brian produced and directed the environmental documentary "Everglades of the North", which inspired a National Wildlife Refuge and water trail; and edited "Shifting Sands", a documentary that helped create the Indiana Dunes National Park in 2019.
He produced and edited the feature documentary, "The 25,000 Mile Love Story", narrated by Oscar© winner John Ridley and currently streaming on Amazon. He produced and edited two Emmy© Award winning WWII documentaries, both narrated by Bill Kurtis: "Heroes on Deck", which the New York Times called, "catnip for aviation nerds", and "A City At War", winner of the Chicago International Television Festival Gold Plaque for Best Non-fiction Program. He is developing "American Time Bomb", a documentary centered around the bloody 1971 Attica Prison uprising.
